Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bieito Luzuriaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 4th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Tomas Berganza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the ALIANZA 1901 players grew even worse after the yellow card. 13 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Tomasini came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 18th minute. Richie Ason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Ros's late challenge caught a ALIANZA 1901's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Ros helped the player get up and apologised. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Richie Ason elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Panama booed when ALIANZA 1901 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pancho Tabernilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 34th minute of play. If Alfredo Tomasini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, ALIANZA 1901 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Escobar to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, ALIANZA 1901's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Bieito Luzuriaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Rojelio Daza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Ason in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 44th minute. Bieito Luzuriaga came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 53 played minutes ALIANZA 1901 got a freekick which was hit by Luis Escobar. ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 54th minute of play. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Alfredo Tomasini scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 1-2. Miguel Miralles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Tomasini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richie Ason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ALIANZA 1901's Richie Ason got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Luis Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bieito Luzuriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes ALIANZA 1901 got a freekick which was hit by Josepe Gamiz. In the 86th play minute Luis Escobar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Cotilla. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ALIANZA 1901 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
