Ronny Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Cane, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sune Åberg's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sune Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Åberg to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Anders Thedin sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Ronny Blom in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilhelm Cane during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Cane in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronny Blom. That made the score 0-7 after 70 minutes of play. Hermanö Oilers's Ronny Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Hermanö Oilers from getting a goal against them.
