Rogerio Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. With a little luck, Aguias Praianas FC's Cosme Pere got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Pere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Cosme Pere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Aguias Praianas FC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Pere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of the match. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Aguias Praianas FC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Aguias Praianas FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball.
