Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radisav Šljivić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Radisav Šljivić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radisav Šljivić having to interfere. BoondockSaints FC made a substitution. Jelenko Vranković replaced Stevan Janjić. In the 77th minute, Jelenko Vranković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radisav Šljivić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the BoondockSaints FC defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radisav Šljivić. The BoondockSaints FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radisav Šljivić should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Venezuela were the better team. Venezuela's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
