Herbert Karanewski made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Herbert Karanewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herbert Karanewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 王林迪 went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Herbert Karanewski came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. In the 91st minute, Aaron Anselmino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, Chile failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
