In the 24th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When USA's Cassius Byrne in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catarinense F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Catarinense F.C. from getting a goal against them. José Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but José Chilavert made a huge save. The Catarinense F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
