Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Okanalp Öksal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Okanalp Öksal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Cazalla in the 17th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, DEMİR YUMRUK's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Okanalp Öksal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Sasha, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 31 minutes into the game, Eduardo Sasha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eduardo Sasha scored 6-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. DEMİR YUMRUK's Okanalp Öksal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of play forced DEMİR YUMRUK's goalkeeper Okanalp Öksal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
