In the 8th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Balendin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerardo Bueno in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Nueva Chicago's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hector Duardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jerardo Bueno took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Filip Hernström made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luchito Toni. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector Duardo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Hector Duardo got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Widodo 黄忠, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Hector Duardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Hector Duardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 58th minute, Sun Han got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes Nueva Chicago's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. In the 65th minute, Filip Hernström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Tomas Illescas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arturo Balendin, passed just outside the right post. Gwidon Niezywy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gwidon Niezywy hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jerardo Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Jerardo Bueno got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jerardo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Hernström hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Duardo went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Hodei Segura hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Nueva Chicago's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
