After a defensive mix-up in BoondockSaints FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radisav Šljivić came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, BoondockSaints FC's goalkeeper Radisav Šljivić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Stevan Janjić's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stevan Janjić helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BoondockSaints FC's Stevan Janjić got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ranđel Radojčić's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Maximiliano Escribano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radisav Šljivić. The goal made the score 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ranđel Radojčić came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radisav Šljivić having to interfere. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ranđel Radojčić to strike the kick off in the second half. Aleksandar Vujanović in the 50thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 53rd minute Ranđel Radojčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
