An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 8th minute of play forced Hvam FC's goalkeeper Kristen Krasmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Toprak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stephan Isager in the 13 minute of the game. In the 14th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristen Krasmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hvam FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Hvam FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domeka Caldueño in the 27th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hvam FC's Bruno Guimarães slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hvam FC's goalkeeper Kristen Krasmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristen Krasmer. Hvam FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Bruno Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Domeka Caldueño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristen Krasmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephan Isager to make the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Kristen Krasmer in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ataol Toprak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kristen Krasmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Kristen Krasmer in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Hvam FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hvam FC's goalie and right to Luca Rouco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hvam FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Alberto Tafalla, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 92 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kristen Krasmer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kristen Krasmer made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
