An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Cesaro in the 15th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Ivo Tropchev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Tropchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Cesaro in the 28th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 65th minute of play forced Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's goalkeeper Ivo Tropchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Tropchev saved Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ivo Tropchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Tropchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Wawrzyniec Sakowicz sent off a good shot on target. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's goalkeeper Ivo Tropchev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
