An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Lluterio in the 6th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Silverio Lluterio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Lluterio in the 21st minute of play. Jorge Sainz made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Camilo Franco immediately put the ball in play. If Silverio Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Lluterio came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. In the 96th minute, one of Uruguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Candela FC's performance. The match ended with a win for La Candela FC.
