Amadeu Prado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Facundo Cadaval's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Lautaro Mancebo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Luca Rouco put in a rough tackle. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! Dante Lacasa had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Mateus Novaes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Mateus Novaes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amadeu Prado made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Alfredão Mesquita hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amadeu Prado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Rossi in the 43rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Lira to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Rossi to make the kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Novaes. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 86th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 90th minute of the match.
