Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David Talamanca started the match with the kick off. Liu Yong Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liu Yong Yong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Liu Yong Yong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Walczak in the 31st minute of play. Juraj Múdry hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Talamanca was slow to take the kick. During this time OROTINENSE's players had a chance to rest. In the 36th match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Medina to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Songurhan Mete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Walczak in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Liu Yong Yong in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liu Yong Yong having to interfere. Jacek Walczak hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Jacek Walczak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. OROTINENSE's Iordache Opincaru was substituted for Songurhan Mete. OROTINENSE's Nuno Orihuela was substituted for Jesus Cortez. In the 74th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 76th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Liu Yong Yong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after OROTINENSE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Liu Yong Yong in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 90thth minute of the game David Talamanca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jacek Walczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
