In the last second Pedro Manzanares throw himself and got hold of the ball when Serafim Barros in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafim Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Serafim Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Serafim Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Abram Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedito Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedito Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Carballar in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 33rd minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedito Trigo saved Sagarana Clube from getting behind. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yu Yang Sang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. After 40 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedito Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Moreno to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yu Yang Sang made a kick off. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Yang Sang in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Yu Yang Sang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 58th minute Yu Yang Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yu Yang Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Sagarana Clube from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Carballar. In the 70th minute of the match, Pascual Carballar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benedito Trigo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 72nd minute Serafim Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sagarana Clube made a substitution. Benedito Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Secada in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes in the game Yu Yang Sang did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Beto Heidemann. 83 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Barros came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kevin Mastache came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Mastache couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Bruno Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. If Serafim Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
