Erlend Sørby was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 42 minutes into the match, Paz Gledden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paz Gledden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brookes Crane in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leeton United FC's Xulian Cai got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brookes Crane. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paz Gledden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clay Heath in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leeton United FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wu Si Xiao in the 76th minute. The corner led to Leeton United FC's Brookes Crane getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Paz Gledden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Erlend Sørby.
