Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cesar Godoy started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Astor Mederi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Godoy in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Hasenkamp got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ryszard Dudzik ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dario Ermano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play forced Hasenkamp's goalkeeper Astor Mederi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Astor Mederi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Hasenkamp's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Astor Mederi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Astor Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Astor Mederi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 40 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Mederi. Hasenkamp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lino Hermelando's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Hermelando helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Hasenkamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Godoy in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Astor Mederi made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Mederi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Astor Mederi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Astor Mederi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Astor Mederi made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Godoy in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusebio Firmin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Hasenkamp's Astor Mederi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Hasenkamp from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Hasenkamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Ermano to maneuver through the defense.
