Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Primo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Apolo Artizar hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. In the 20th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantino Bertol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Dolfos in the 30th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Constantino Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Salvador Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Salvador Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half C. A. Atlanta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Teodoro Primo sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Teodoro Primo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Primo in the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Tony Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Primo in the 89th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Guimarães having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Atlanta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
