In the 4th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Pégasus F. C. were awarded a corner. Gilberto Soeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 14th minute of play forced Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Umberto Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 22nd minute of play. Chile's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lu Xing Song 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lu Xing Song, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Pégasus F. C. were awarded a corner. Gilberto Soeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Umberto Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Umberto Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Chile's Mariano Lacasa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 43 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Umberto Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Pégasus F. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Umberto Cunha made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th match minute, Pégasus F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chupan Mangas to maneuver through the defense. Pégasus F. C.'s Jules Gangloff was substituted for Hílton Albuquerque. Pégasus F. C.'s Kurt Groll was substituted for Lu Xing Song. Pégasus F. C.'s Samuca Tepedino was substituted for Gilberto Soeiro. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Mariano Lacasa took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Umberto Cunha to make any attempt to save it. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Umberto Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 76th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Pégasus F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Umberto Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pégasus F. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Pégasus F. C.:s Umberto Cunha showed great skill when he stopped Mariano Lacasa:s penalty. 1-4 came in the 91st minute when Mariano Lacasa all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Umberto Cunha. Pégasus F. C.'s Xande Sharkin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Ang Le came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 99th minute of the match Pégasus F. C. got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Xande Sharkin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
