Alberto Laffitte might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Laffitte ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, ALAMBRE de PÚAS's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Fausto Bide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute ALAMBRE de PÚAS were awarded a corner. Leonardo Peru went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on ALAMBRE de PÚAS's corner Leonardo Peru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a ALAMBRE de PÚAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. ALAMBRE de PÚAS were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo Peru took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvestre Giro during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, ALAMBRE de PÚAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Giro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Alberto Laffitte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Alberto Laffitte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Iyan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Leonardo Peru took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonardo Peru in the 38th minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Francisco Seco sped through ALAMBRE de PÚAS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fausto Bide. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Peru to make the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Peru's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Peru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Fausto Bide when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fausto Bide came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Fausto Bide in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Peru scored 3-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
