Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandros Ismael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacinto Galeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Galeno ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Galeno. Alexandros Ismael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandros Ismael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Alexandros Ismael. The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Ciolli in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Ciolli in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Águilas Poblanas from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Ismael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes Águilas Poblanas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Águilas Poblanas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Mariano Lacasa scored to the left of an out of position Alexandros Ismael, making the score, 0-4. Amedeo Vitucci dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
