Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcos Pestaña kicked off to start the match. Marcos Pestaña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Gorvea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlético San Antonio's Robustiano Lanis got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 14th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match Galtero Barrosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 20 played minutes Atlético San Antonio got a freekick which was hit by Gartzea Ungia. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Pestaña in the 31st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Atlético San Antonio booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dubardo Armiñan kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Pestaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eliseo Noboa made a precise shot to the right of Vasco Gorvea. Atlético San Antonio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 64th minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. A hard shot by Galtero Barrosa from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Benito Sanz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramond Chandeiro in the 72nd minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Gorvea having to interfere. Vasco Gorvea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramond Chandeiro in the 89th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Gorvea having to interfere. Vasco Gorvea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Costa Rica players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
