Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Cazimir Feteanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Peru's attentive Joaquin Prats managed to snatch the ball when Constantin Bot made a throw-in in the 5th minute of the game. Călin Ghioncu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Dobay got free with Rolando Noboa in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Cazimir Feteanu came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Constantin Bot, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Karanewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ghioncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Dobay came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. In the 39th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ghioncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Constantin Bot in the 41 minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Iurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute of the game Constantin Bot made a throw-in which Roque Arixo played forward. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Constantin Bot got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roque Arixo. Peru's Joaquin Prats got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Călin Ghioncu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Călin Ghioncu made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Cazimir Feteanu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carpathians made a substitution. Ercan Sabahaddin replaced Roque Arixo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Feteanu in the 64th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Călin Ghioncu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carpathians's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Ghioncu came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carpathians made a substitution. Rodrigo Marinho replaced Teobald Karanewski. Constantin Bot made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ercan Sabahaddin. In the 84th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ghioncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cazimir Feteanu's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 91st minute of the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Călin Ghioncu was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-1.
