Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Txurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Txurio. Quimeras Jrs.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Ovando. After 27 played minutes Quimeras Jrs. got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Thomas. In the 27th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Txurio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado Txurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Conrado Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quimeras Jrs.'s Rodolfo Confesor got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ruperto Hermon hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Conrado Txurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 43rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Txurio. Quimeras Jrs.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amado Ovando to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Conrado Txurio could save by the left post. 55 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Txurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 61st minute, Felix Montes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Conrado Txurio. The goal made the score 0-5. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Conrado Txurio could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Conrado Txurio made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quimeras Jrs.'s Conrado Txurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Quimeras Jrs.'s Conrado Txurio. Conrado Txurio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Conrado Txurio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Txurio came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 91st minute.
