Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Santikurtz. Newton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Feliciano Errapel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 9th minute, Newton FC's Feliciano Errapel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 11th match minute, Newton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Santikurtz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Santikurtz. Newton FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Newton FC's Lorenzo Santikurtz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Santikurtz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newton FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Santikurtz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Santikurtz saved Newton FC from getting behind. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Jerold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo Santikurtz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the match, Antonio Arias notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Newton FC's Lorenzo Santikurtz. Lorenzo Santikurtz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

In the 55th minute, Annadeva Flumian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Santikurtz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 74th minute. Newton FC's Celso Frisco was substituted for Benigno Froila. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Newton FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Santikurtz came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Santikurtz came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. A collision led to Newton FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Pastor Gartxot hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Annadeva Flumian in the 93rd minute of the match. Lorenzo Santikurtz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 94th minute. Celso Frisco's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Frisco helped the player get up and apologised. Celso Frisco kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newton FC.
