Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rahim Niğdeli to make the kick off. Diego Beckenbauer made in the 61st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pertti Koskenkorva however managed to control. 63 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Rahim Niğdeli came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, NAGANO F.C's Vellito Alguerdo got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes NAGANO F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Medeiros. Cléber Medeiros's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. NAGANO F.C:s Vellito Alguerdo showed great skill when he stopped Luz Tejedor:s penalty. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawel Mietus in the 85th minute of play. NAGANO F.C's Vellito Alguerdo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save NAGANO F.C from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Tenorio got free with Vellito Alguerdo in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Peru players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for NAGANO F.C.
