Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Luca Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marcos Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Shadows getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Niklas Lundqvist hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Shadows's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niklas Lundqvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Basso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 40th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Basso came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Lundqvist in the 45th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niklas Lundqvist made a kick off. In the 51st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Shadows made a substitution. Slawomir Cisek replaced Berndt Edelweiss. 61 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The Shadows's Pawel Gibowski was substituted for Bo á Bø. The Shadows's Ni Yu Feng was substituted for Ni Zhen Ying. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos Basso could save by the left post. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Basso having to interfere. Marcos Basso made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 80th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Marcos Basso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 88th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. The Shadows's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Basso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
