Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Barros Rosa started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heitor Paim Belluci. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. With a little luck, Brazil's Heitor Paim Belluci got control of the ball when Jakub Ziombkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Inter de Guayaquil FC defense, Diogo Paim Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Hellkvist. In the 24th minute Danilo Aguiar Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Jörn Svartengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heitor Paim Belluci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Ziombkowski in the 29th minute of play. Sebastian Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Paz Rocha in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match, Jörn Svartengren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Heitor Paim Belluci was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Xzavier Palomarez hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Brazil got a corner. Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Paim Macedo in the 45th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Inter de Guayaquil FC's Éric Cantona was substituted for Jörn Svartengren. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Éric Cantona to strike the kick off in the second half. Éric Cantona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heitor Paim Belluci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Brazil's Renato Belluci Rosa was substituted for Adriano Macedo Sanches. Brazil made a substitution. Murilo Bueno Lobo replaced Diogo Paim Macedo. Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Zé Pedro Baptista replaced Lorenzo Acutain. A well-hit corner resulted in Humberto Barragan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo Reis Quadros got free with Sebastian Hellkvist in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heitor Paim Belluci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éric Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Éric Cantona came free, but Heitor Paim Belluci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
