With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when André Guimarães came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Paris San Duíche getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Guimarães in the 35th minute of the match. Paris San Duíche were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Augusto Veloso took the corner. After a rather tough play, Paris San Duíche's André Guimarães got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game André Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ismael Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Guimarães in the 47th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. André Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. José Augusto Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Paris San Duíche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luiz Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by André Guimarães got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Duda Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Raul Venegas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Ismael Couto struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris San Duíche. José Augusto Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Paris San Duíche's Pedro Luiz Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Paris San Duíche were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Paraguay side.
