After a rather tough play, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cafu Paraibano got a free kick in the 7th minute. Dito Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finlay Stair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamaall Padmore lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Romon Oliver hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Enrique Paiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Demonde Jacobson came out and tried to block the shot, but Enrique Paiva slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Karlus Waugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kordal Duff to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Leron Sale got a free kick in the 37th minute. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Marinho in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Karlus Waugh made the kick off in the second half. Kordal Duff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Paraibano in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's zone, Romon Oliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Araújo came out of the goal and Romon Oliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romon Oliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Araújo having to interfere. The supporters of ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarell Hill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Romon Oliver kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dito Araújo. That made the score 3-1 in the 85 minute of play. When Romon Oliver came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Jamaica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romon Oliver couldn't finish the play. In the 91st match minute, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Jamaica's Finlay Stair shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dito Araújo but with some difficulty. In the 92nd minute, Cássio Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Kordal Duff. Jamaica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
