The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AllRaf EC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Maunu Parkkonen hit a great ball. A hard shot 7 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Aitor España managed to make a qualified save. AllRaf EC's players were relieved. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aitor España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AllRaf EC's Perttu Bado got a free kick in the 11th minute. Agustín Saelices's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aitor España firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 15th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Antonio Arias made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that AllRaf EC's Aitor España managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aitor España in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that AllRaf EC's Aitor España managed to reach the ball for a save. Froilan Harri might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Harri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of play forced AllRaf EC's goalkeeper Aitor España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 minutes AllRaf EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aitor España quite easily take care of the ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Aitor España didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aitor España narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute of the match, Nuno Gaúcho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 75 played minutes AllRaf EC got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Arce. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Aitor España tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AllRaf EC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, AllRaf EC's Froilan Harri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. AllRaf EC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ecuador's much stronger midfield.
