Mateo Leguizamo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vasco Gorvea firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. After 45 minutes, Robustiano Lanis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético San Antonio and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Marco Tamayo fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Marco Tamayo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes, Atlético San Antonio's Lorencio Gobantes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético San Antonio reached it. Marcos Pestaña in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vasco Gorvea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 71st minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaufred Bocos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Gaufred Bocos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Gaufred Bocos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Marcos Pestaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Atlético San Antonio's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
