Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Marcel Blanco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Alonzo Rosselot heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodemo Recalde having to interfere. In the 9th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A hard shot 11 in the game by Xalvador Mac Kenney from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 played minutes VILLANUEVA FC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban José Norambuena. If Xalvador Mac Kenney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicodemo Recalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodemo Recalde having to interfere. VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 23rd minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xacobo Barroso's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VILLANUEVA FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nicodemo Recalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, VILLANUEVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Nicodemo Recalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Nicodemo Recalde. VILLANUEVA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xalvador Mac Kenney made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicodemo Recalde. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Nicodemo Recalde made a huge save. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nicodemo Recalde could save by the left post. Nicodemo Recalde made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicodemo Recalde having to make a save. VILLANUEVA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Nicodemo Recalde, making the score, 0-4. VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save VILLANUEVA FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, VILLANUEVA FC's Atahan Hatemoğlu got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in VILLANUEVA FC's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodemo Recalde came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicodemo Recalde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Ecuador played a much better game than VILLANUEVA FC and deserved their victory. The VILLANUEVA FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
