After having played for 15 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Dahlgren got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Loren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Miralles's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jose Carita's late challenge caught a Black Mamba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Carita helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Black Mamba booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Dahlgren in the 26th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Dahlgren went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Raulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sebastian Loren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Sebastian Loren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Loren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Black Mamba's Fidel Justin got a free kick in the 61st minute. A long shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 62nd minute of play was well struck, but Sebastian Loren made a really good save at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Txilar in the 75th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Loren having to interfere. Black Mamba's Melchor Txilar got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Melchor Txilar off the ground. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Panama's Tomas Berganza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match Cornelio Perutxo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla skillfully saved the ball. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Dahlgren in the 94th minute of play. The Black Mamba supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Panama's performance. The match ended with a win for Panama.
