Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tabalongo AFC's Binjamin Ketelers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Marciano Asmussen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zhang Hong Xun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Zhang Hong Xun. Tabalongo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Binjamin Ketelers got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Zhang Hong Xun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zhang Hong Xun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Marciano Asmussen made a great header on Tabalongo AFC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 36 minutes into the game, Binjamin Ketelers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Binjamin Ketelers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhang Hong Xun having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binjamin Ketelers, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Zhang Hong Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Tabalongo AFC's goalkeeper Zhang Hong Xun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tabalongo AFC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
