Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natanael Paraense charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natanael Paraense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Natanael Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Muralhas saved SE Palmeiras from getting behind. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. If Abelardo Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Godoi in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Oswaldo Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Abelardo Medeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SE Palmeiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ian Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! After 41 minutes, Alfredo Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SE Palmeiras and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. SE Palmeiras:s Will Muralhas showed great skill when he stopped Axel Tasis:s penalty. Axel Tasis scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Will Muralhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Will Muralhas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 58th minute. SE Palmeiras's Natanael Paraense got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Natanael Paraense off the ground. Natanael Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Godoi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palmeiras. With a little luck, SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Will Muralhas in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, SE Palmeiras's Alfredo Vieira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredo Vieira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SE Palmeiras protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredo Vieira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 86th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Will Muralhas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alan Moruga. Abelardo Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After 92 minutes, Roberto Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SE Palmeiras and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Andrade. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SE Palmeiras had won after a very even match.
