After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Libesoons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Shi Ming's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 34th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led USA's Jenson Smith to fire away a dangerous shot which Kenneth Libesoons despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Terremoto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Kenneth Libesoons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Shi Ming put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marco Day. Kenneth Libesoons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cassius Byrne went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half USA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Terremoto FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hilario Duarte in the 53rd minute. Terremoto FC's Hilario Duarte was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Terremoto FC's Kenneth Libesoons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Benicio Sugar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Zach Harrison. Shi Ming sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute, Monty Rogers made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Libesoons. Terremoto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Jakob Tobbackers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jenson Smith. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jenson Smith hit a great ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Macedo in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Terremoto FC booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zach Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball.
