An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 5th minute of play forced GreenUnited's goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. GreenUnited's Fertus Rigues quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mexico's attentive Lautaro Mancebo managed to snatch the ball when 白星奕 made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Sebastián Torrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by GreenUnited's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Sebastián Torrico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sebastián Torrico made a huge save. If Yaman Akar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Yaman Akar came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastián Torrico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Sebastián Torrico in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, GreenUnited's Edward Chaniago got a free kick in the 95th minute.
