Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Laurgain Hompanera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ramond Chandeiro came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 played minutes Atlético San Antonio got a freekick which was hit by Ramond Chandeiro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Vasco Gorvea in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Galtero Barrosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético San Antonio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Galtero Barrosa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Atlético San Antonio's Marcos Pestaña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 34th minute, Gartzea Ungia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vasco Gorvea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Marcos Pestaña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético San Antonio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Pestaña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Alexander Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético San Antonio the free kick. The supporters of Atlético San Antonio booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Dubardo Armiñan in the 47th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Benito Sanz's left hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Marcos Pestaña made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Galtero Barrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 53 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Robustiano Lanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Atlético San Antonio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Lanis to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Pestaña took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Pestaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Pestaña kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. Dubardo Armiñan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Atlético San Antonio's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramond Chandeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Pestaña got free with Benito Sanz in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Pestaña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. If Gartzea Ungia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vasco Gorvea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Gartzea Ungia took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Atlético San Antonio played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
