With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when GreenUnited's Max Stevens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 5th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Torrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. GreenUnited's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joao Zuazo took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Joao Zuazo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GreenUnited's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastián Torrico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Sebastián Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Joao Zuazo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Max Stevens sent off a good shot on target. Max Stevens in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlomagno Vellosillo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of GreenUnited's Sebastián Torrico. Sebastián Torrico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joao Zuazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Torrico having to make a save. The wind increased when Yaman Akar made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 56 minutes into the game, Joao Zuazo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastián Torrico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sebastián Torrico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sebastián Torrico made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Sebastián Torrico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Torrico having to interfere. Felix Montes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 4-1. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute. Sebastián Torrico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Sebastián Torrico. GreenUnited's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. The GreenUnited support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
