Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raúl Cruz took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Benfica de Penafirme got a freekick which was hit by Jo Soares. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Charles Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica de Penafirme's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Cruz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Fragoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Fragoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Costa's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Ponte in the 12th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Raúl Cruzs short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play forced Benfica de Penafirme's goalkeeper Silvano Fragoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 42 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Benfica de Penafirme players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Benfica de Penafirme booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Silvano Fragoso was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 2-1. 57 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benfica de Penafirme the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Cruz in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Cruz in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Raúl Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Fridun Schwemer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Benfica de Penafirme's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
