Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Krister Kielberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Erland Biörling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krister Kielberg. Krister Kielberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. F.C Lundbyborg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jimmy Olsmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 20th minute of play. After 24 played minutes F.C Lundbyborg got a freekick which was hit by Erland Biörling. In the 26th minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Hjalmar Västerstrand took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Hjalmar Västerstrand fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krister Kielberg.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hjalmar Västerstrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the F.C Lundbyborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hjalmar Västerstrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Västerstrand ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krister Kielberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C Lundbyborg's Karl-Åke Holmstedt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Juan Rubio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. 63 minutes into the match, Krister Kielberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Krister Kielberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 67th minute, Krister Kielberg made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Krister Kielberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hjalmar Västerstrand scored 5-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krister Kielberg in the 79th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Kielberg in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Erland Biörling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Lundbyborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erland Biörling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Kielberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hjalmar Västerstrand in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that F.C Lundbyborg were the better team. F.C Lundbyborg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
