Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulrik Granqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulrik Granqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, Vissefjärda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ulrik Granqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute. A collision led to Vissefjärda IF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Michael Fridlund hit a great ball. Osvald Bergqvist hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vissefjärda IF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walery Teofila hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Henry Hurtig fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vissefjärda IF's protests and gave Henry Hurtig a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist. 0-1. If André Tunander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Fridlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, Vissefjärda IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Hurtig to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ulrik Granqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, Vissefjärda IF's Osvald Bergqvist got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Michael Fridlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Fridlund to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Vissefjärda IF got a freekick which was hit by Walery Teofila. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vissefjärda IF's goalkeeper Ulrik Granqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulrik Granqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walery Teofila hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ulrik Granqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Michael Fridlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Vissefjärda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ulrik Granqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Vissefjärda IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulrik Granqvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Felix Montenegro had several of the Vissefjärda IF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Ulrik Granqvist as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
