Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Marques in the 3rd minute of play. Eustaquio Marques took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Renato Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Marques came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 19th minute of play forced ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's goalkeeper Renato Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Luis Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's Renato Vidal did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renato Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renato Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute of play forced ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's goalkeeper Renato Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Renato Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Manuel Victoro in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Vidal made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Santino Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Hibai in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ were awarded a corner. Elvio Hibai went to the cornerflag to take it. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Renato Vidal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eustaquio Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ made a substitution. Jeremias Fontes replaced Perivaldo Queiroz. Renato Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Madureira in the 83rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 84th minute. Colombia's Pascual Carballar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Manuel Victoro in the 92 minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Régis Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ.
