Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. John James was slow to take the kick. During this time Florida Gulf Coast's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Florida Gulf Coast's corner John James fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. Dante Lacasa had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping John James's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 21 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. John James hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Macos Graciani threw the ball into play from the sideline. Florida Gulf Coast's Sixto Bitxintxo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 29 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to a score. 0-2 in the 37th minute. Luis Nardo came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lukáš Katačić to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luis Nardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Lukáš Katačić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukáš Katačić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Luis Nardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Nardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Florida Gulf Coast from getting a goal against them. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Nardo having to interfere.
