Eduardo Fontirroig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Waldir da Mata made a huge save. Joshua Miralles made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza. Mario Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir da Mata having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldir da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Váldson Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Miralles made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mario Fernandino. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Waldir da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Ferrant in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Mario Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 42nd minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Waldir da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldir da Mata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waldir da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Fontirroig in the 54th minute of the match. Julio Chicote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Waldir da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Julio Chicote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adilson Montenegro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ismael Tejedor in the 62 minute of the game. Eduardo Fontirroig might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldir da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Fontirroig ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 76th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Waldir da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mario Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Mario Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. Mario Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The throw-in from Joshua Miralles in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza. Joshua Miralles made in the 87th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mario Fernandino immediately put the ball in play. Bolivia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
