Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Jarana FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Wilfredo Gitano hit a great ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeo Distiratsu. Jarana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Jarana FC's goalkeeper Tadeo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Distiratsu having to interfere. Tadeo Distiratsu came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute of the match Jarana FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yang Yao Kuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jarana FC's Mateusz Piontkovskiy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Gitano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Tadeo Distiratsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Christobal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 42nd minute of the match. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tadeo Distiratsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tadeo Distiratsu made a huge save. Tadeo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Tadeo Distiratsu made a huge save. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Wilfredo Gitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Gitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Gitano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Wilfredo Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jarana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Gitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in 78 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Tadeo Distiratsu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After having played for 80 minutes, Wilfredo Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Gitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Gitano came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Gitano's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Wilfredo Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Wilfredo Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
