In the 6th minute, Simon Uxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santiago Ureta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Cristian Rufio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Soin. Mateo Leguizamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Soin came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Ladislao Soin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Cayetano Abajas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 1-0. 38 minutes into the game, Reggina 1914's Simon Uxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Soin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ladislao Soin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Ladislao Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reggina 1914 made a substitution. Abel Amato replaced 胡风翀. In the 85th minute of the match Reggina 1914 got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Soin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jesus Carvallo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ricardo Zorita, a very annoying self made goal in the 86th minute which led to 7-0. 88 minutes into the match, Armando Nel notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reggina 1914's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
