Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Eneas in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Eneas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Higinio Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Gonzales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Juvenal in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higinio Gonzales. That made the score 1-7 in the 76 minute of play. Jorge Sainz got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Camilo Franco. Lisandro Aresti hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustino Eneas during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 1-9, to the right of BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Higinio Gonzales. Higinio Gonzales was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maximiliano Escribano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Gisbert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higinio Gonzales. That made the score 1-10 in the 93 minute of play.
