Felix Montenegro scored 0-1 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Válter Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Válter Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Válter Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the GynBsb defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Rodrigues. The GynBsb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Rodrigues having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Válter Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Válter Rodrigues. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Válter Rodrigues to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute, Kauã Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Válter Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Válter Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Válter Rodrigues however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Rodrigues. That made the score 0-9 in the 71 minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Jeremias Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GynBsb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Ferreira in the 79th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Válter Rodrigues, 0-10. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Válter Rodrigues made a huge save. Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Válter Rodrigues made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GynBsb.
